NEW LIFE KIDS

We’re engaging kids and empowering families.
We think church should be fun at any age, so each and every week, we use activities, music, technology and small group time to help children experience for themselves who God is and how much He loves them. Our awesome team of prepared volunteers works hard to ensure that while you’re loving your worship experience, your kids are learning about Jesus on their level in age-appropriate environments.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Are kids allowed in the auditorium?
In order to create a distraction-free environment where parents and others can experience Jesus, children five years old and younger are not permitted in the main worship experience auditorium. While this may be inconvenient for some families, we truly believe that the New Life Kids experience will be life-giving and life-changing for your child.

Note that a Mom’s Viewing Room is available. If you have a child younger than six weeks or need to keep a child with you during the worship experience, this private room offers comfortable furniture, a diaper changing station and other amenities for mothers.
What safety and security measurers are in place to protect my kids?
All New Life Kids volunteers wearing NLC Kids name badges and t-shirts, are background checked and trained to ensure your child has the safest and best experience possible. Additionally, we have a churchwide safety team in place for each worship experience, and many times local police department members are onsite to ensure the security as well.
Are you able to accommodate children with special needs or disabilities?
If you are planning to attend NLC with a child who has special needs or a disability, we encourage you to email our Kids Director, Aliea Roland. This will allow you to specify any special accommodations and will also help us collaborate with you to ensure your child has a great experience.

*Depending on your child’s needs and the availability of our trained volunteers, it may take some time to put proper accommodations in place. The Kids Director will help facilitate a plan that best fits your child’s needs.
Do you baptize/dedicate children?
As parents, we can help point our children to Jesus, but they are the ones who, once they are old enough to understand and make a decision on their own, need to decide if they will commit their lives to Him.

At NLC, we wait until children are old enough to express their own decision to follow Jesus and understand the meaning of baptism before allowing them to take this step. If your child has already asked Jesus into his or her life, we encourage you to explain what baptism is and what it means, allowing them to choose to take part in this exciting step of faith. In the meantime, we encourage parents to dedicate their children to the Lord, which takes place several times each year as part of a NLC Worship experience. Be sure to check your NLC Dashboard, as well as upcoming event announcements, for dates and times of the next child dedication Sunday.

For additional information regarding kids’ dedication, salvation, baptism and communion, we have created a series of resource guides for parents and caregivers.

Partnering with Parents

We believe the best way we can help your kids develop a strong spiritual foundation is by partnering with you. Together, we can help encourage, train, and pray for them as they grow in their faith. Here are some practical ways you can help us make the most of your child’s time spent at church:
  • Attend weekly to help your kids build a relationship with their consistent teachers and other kids their age.
  • Practice the current New Life Kids Scripture memorization with your kids.
  • Build relationships with other NLC parents.
  • Pray for your children each week as they come to church, and pray for our teams as they serve and care for your kids

How Check-In Works

Before Service: You can check-in your child at any available Kids kiosk. After finding your name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching numbered tag.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during service, we will contact you via text. We ask that you exit the Worship Center immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to kid's kiosk

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to NLC kids and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you. If you lose your tag, no problem, just visit the kid’s kiosk.

Your First Visit

From babies to sixth graders, our team wants to give your family an excellent experience.

When you arrive, our team will happily show you the way to the children’s area. You’ll go to the first-time check-in station where you can tell us a little about your family to help us serve you well. On our check-in form, we’ll ask things like what allergies your child may have, how many children are in your family, and get your contact information. Fill out the form below to save a few minutes when you check-in for the first time.
